Managers 1975 - 2007

Prior to 1975 the team was selected by the Management committee.

Sam Wallace has been the clubs longest serving manager managing the first team from seasons 1975-76 to 1992-93. Stuart Rome had a brief spell in charge for season 1993-94. Derek Frye was at the helm from season 1994-95 until the March 1997 when , Kevin Hetherington took over the role. Hetherington resigned at the Clubs AGM in May 1998 and he was promptly replaced by Tony Chilton and his assistant Derek Walsh who were dismissed in December 1998 to be replaced by ex Clydebank, Partick Thistle Dunfermline, St Johnstone and Ayr player David Irons who left Galabank at the end of season 2001-2 to play for Gretna who had been succesfull in gaining membership to the Scottish League in 2002-3 season at the expense of Airdrie. David Irons was succeeded by former player Billy Sim who in his first season secured runners up position for Annan four points behind champions Whitehill Welfare but after a disappointing start to season 2003-4 , Billy Sim resigned and was subsequently replaced by Harry Cairney in December 2003. Harry’s stay turned out to be a short one when he was appointed as Manager of Arbroath in September 2004 and his assistant Sandy Ross took over the vacant position . Sandy Ross resigned and was replaced in October 2005 by Kenny Brown but it was a short stay for Kenny Brown who suddenly resigned at the end of the Season 2005-6. Harry Cairney was available and the Annan committee were quick to reappoint Harry Cairney back into the Galabank hot seat.
