Jack Steele's short term loan deal at Dalbeattie Star has ended prematurely with the player returning to Galabank a week or so earlier than agreed. Several players are carrying knocks - the manager will leave it 'til saturday before finalising the 16 to face Stranraer in this weekend's 'derby' game.

Jack was loaned out to Dalbeattie Star to get match fitness, the club are thankful to star for agreeing to the player coming back to Galabank early.

Striker Steven Lawless has returned to Motherwell FC following his one-month loan spell at the club.

Striker Bryan Felvus has had his contract extended for another month to allow him to stake a permanent deal at the club.

Annan Athletic will play Raith Rovers in the semi-final of the Reserve League Cup on mon 16th August, kick-off is 7:30 pm.

The competition was held over from last season, the other semi will be contested between Dunfermline Athletic (winners of East Section)and Ayr Utd (runners-up in West Section), Dunfermline have home advantage as like Annan they won their section.

Last seasons top scorer Graeme Bell successfully went through an operation on his groin on Monday morning of this week, he will visit Brechin City's physiotherapist, Tommy Gilmartin, to discuss his rehabilitation on Sunday.

Everyone at the club wishes "Belly" a speedy recovery and hopes to see him back in training pretty soon.

It was great to see the Edinburgh Branch of the Supporters Club at the Co-operative Insurance Cup tie at the weekend (adorning their new polo shirts). These regular followers have supported the club for many years during our time in the East of Scotland League and as we head into our third season in the SFL they continue to attend most games (home or away).

Earlier today Annan agreed with Dalbeattie Star for Jack Steele to go on loan for 31 days.
