05/03/2010 - Club lose out on striker deal

As reported in the press the club made an offer to 24-year old striker Andrew Ferguson who played a trial with the reserves against Stranraer last week.

We offered the player terms but unfortunately our offer was seemingly eclipsed by junior side Glenafton. We wish Andrew well and hopefully he gets a return to Senior football soon.

02/03/2010 - Annan V Forfar is ON

Tonights game at home versus Forfar K.O. 7.30pm is ON with no inspections required.

A band of volunteers answered the call:

Nonnie, Curdo, Bomber, Marco, Spug, Davie Smith, Terry O'D along with Barney and Ged came up with the goods, thanks for your efforts lads, the pitch is looking good.

There are no plans for a pitch inspection, the pitch is in good nick, first saturday home game since 5th December.

No inspection required, pitch is playable


14/02/2010 - Number draw won-7 13 28

This weeks number draw has been won by Mr Len Tills,Chester.

 

The winning numbers were 7-13-28 and the prize money was £400.

30/01/2010 - Albion Rovers Postponment & Re-Arranged Fixtures

Firstly please accept my apologies for today's cancellation. I spoke with Albion Rovers chairman, Frank Meade early this morning and we took an approach that we wanted to give the match the best chance of going ahead. Unfortunately and despite a temperature of 9 deg C for most of the day the pitch was correctly deemed unplayable by Referee John McKendrick.

We have agreed the following re-arrangements

Forfar Athletic FC at Galabank @ 7:30 pm on Wed 3rd Feb

Berwick Rangers FC  at Galabank @ 7:30 pm on Tues 9th Feb

Albion Rovers FC at Galabank @ 7:30 pm on Wed 17th Feb

PLEASE NOTE the SFL have informed the club the scheduled re-arranged game v Livingston on 23rd Feb will no longer go ahead.
