Community Football Project Needs You

The Annan Athletic Community Football team are delighted to announce that we have been accepted to take part in the in the Dumfries and Galloway funding programme ‘Making Ends Meet’ and we need your vote.

The Community Football group fully realise that everything comes at a cost and for that reason we have put a funding project together to break down the barrier of poverty to participation. If successful we would use the grant to fund 50 free community football spaces to local children whose families were experiencing low income/poverty. The funds would cover their registration fee, weekly training fees and kit. These children would, in turn, be able to continue to reap all of the benefits of playing an active and healthy role in Annan Athletic Community Football whilst their parents/carers would have the security of knowing this wouldn’t impact negatively on the poverty they may experience.”
