Albinson Agrees New Deal

Annan Athletic are delighted to confirm that goalkeeper Charlie Albinson has agreed a new deal to remain with the club for the upcoming season.

Charlie has been a key figure between the sticks since his arrival in January, bringing experience, composure and leadership to the backline. His shot-stopping ability and command of the box have made him a firm favourite with the Black & Golds support.

Since joining, Charlie has been a consistent performer for Wullie Gibson’s side and his commitment to the club is a massive boost as pre season training gets underway.

Manager Wullie Gibson said: “I’m absolutely delighted to keep Charlie. We didn’t think it was going to be possible as he had interest from higher league teams and from Dumbarton. He was excellent for us last season after joining us in January and I’ve no doubt he’ll continue that on. Speaking with Charlie it was clear he enjoyed his football and his time at the club and that was a big part in his decision.”

Charlie added: “Delighted to be extending my contract with the club. I really enjoyed my time at the club in the latter part of the season even though we just fell short at the end. The management team and lads were all brilliant with me and I’m looking forward to getting going again and hopefully we can compete at the top end of the table this season”

Everyone at Annan Athletic FC is delighted to see Charlie stay with the club.
