Annan Athletic FC supports Anthony Nolan Cancer Charity
Anthony Nolan is a pioneering charity that saves the lives of people with blood cancer who need a blood stem cell, or bone marrow transplant. They set up the world’s first bone marrow register to match donors with people who desperately needed a transplant. Now, every day, they help people in need of a lifesaving transplant by using our register to find remarkable donors who have matching stem cells, or bone marrow. On Saturday you can also help us raise money by supporting the 5 Annan locals who are training hard to run the Loch Ness marathon (26.2 miles) by donating online at www.justgiving.com/lochness-2013 or alternatively by putting any spare change you may have into the collection tins at the bar or the collection bucket which will be doing the rounds throughout the afternoon.
Loyal Annan Supporter Phil Thomson will run the marathon wearing his Annan scarf if we raise manage to raise £250 today. Anyone that doesn’t know Phil, he’ll be in his usual spot, right hand side of the goal, top row during the game and in the bar from 2pm and for an hour after the game. Today you can win 4 seats at corporate hospitality at any home game this season by taking part in a silent auction. This prize has been donated as part of our on going fundraising on behalf of the Anthony Nolan Cancer Charity. There are envelopes located at the bar with a slip inside, fill in the slip with your Name, Contact No and Bid, return your sealed bid to the bar and the highest bidder will be contacted after today’s game.
