Annan Athletic Football Club is seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager.
In October 2017 Annan Athletic Football Club converted to a community ownership
model and now operate as a Community Benefit society (CBS), we are now
community club, under this model commercial income is more vital than ever before.
Aims & Objectives of the Job
The main responsibility of this amazing opportunity is to lead on the development of
all revenue streams for the Football Club and will be the driving force behind the
commercial arm of the Club.
The successful applicant will provide new business income for a thriving and
ambitious football club, as well as achieving continued support for its current
excellent sponsors. Remuneration for the position is on a self-employed commission
only basis, with no maximum earning, which will be paid in line with the rewards
achieved for the football club.
Key Responsibilities
Generate new sponsorship agreements, including board advertising in the ground
and the entry to the Clubs Weekly draw.
Selling of advertising space in club productions such as the match day programmes,
flyers etc.
Utilise the advertising space on the club website and social media outlets to
generate income.
Reporting to the Board of Directors on Commercial Activities, attending Commercial
Group meetings as required to report progress
Skills and Experience Required
Experience in the Commercial sector
Able to play an ambassadorial role for the club
Financially numerate with the ability to prepare and present basic board papers and
reports
Able to provide a key interface with the commercial world
Experience to be able to negotiate, sell and influence
Self-starter with motivation, commitment, enthusiasm and drive would be considered
Some knowledge of football would be helpful.
