Chapman and Skelton Lift Ladbrokes League Two awards

Manager Jim Chapman and midfielder Gavin Skelton have been rewarded for the clubs fine run of form during February with The Ladbrokes League Two Manager and Player of the Month awards.

Whilst accepting the award Jim was quick to praise his team and backroom staff: “The guys have been fantastic and have really gelled after a forecasted difficult start with the formation of a      completely new side. This award just isn’t about me though as I have a management team and this reflects the work that John Joyce, Billy Bentley, Chris Cooke, Tony Caig and Karen Robertson do as well. Managers don’t win awards, backroom staff and    players do as we’re one team”.

Former Gretna, Kilmarnock and Hamilton midfielder Skelton was delighted to receive the award but again was quick to praise his teammates: “I’ve received the award but it’s the team that’s won the award as they’ve all contributed and the manager has been rightly rewarded for turning around the clubs fortunes and      making the charge into the Play-Off positions”.
