Club Captain Extends Stay

Annan Athletic are delighted to announce that Club Captain Tommy Muir has agreed to trigger the second year on his contract extension!

Tam, who first joined the Black and Golds in 2018 from Dalbeattie Star, has become a cornerstone of Wullie Gibson’s squad. After initially signing as a striker, the 28 year old has also impressed in central defence when called upon. He has now made over 200 appearances for the club, scoring more than 50 goals along the way.

Tam agreed new deal with the club last summer, with the option of a second year included, and we’re delighted that he will be staying at Galabank.

Manager Wullie Gibson commented, ” I’m delighted Tam has agreed to stay again next season. He has been a consistent performer for me over the past two seasons and is an important player, both on and off the pitch. Hopefully this will give everyone a boost as we aim to finish the season as strong as possible.”
