Club Update – Board Announcement

The club would like to give supporters and shareholders an update to changes in the clubs board in recent months.

Craig Robertson, Henry McClelland and Ian McLatchie have decided to step down from their roles on the clubs board.

Craig who has served over recent years and Ian who joined the board last year have stepped back due to work and personnel commitments.

Former Chairman Henry rejoined the board at the turn of the year and has helped the club through a critical and uncertain time as he spearheaded the Community Shareholder launch, as well as driving increased revenues into the club. Through this period, Henry has offered his vast experience as a former Chairman and board member with the best interests of the club at heart and this has been greatly valued by the board.

Also stepping back from her position of treasurer is Debbie Young. Debbie stepped forward to help the club in the treasurer role last year and with it brought experience and enthusiasm to the role, for which the club are indebted to her. Debbie steps back having found it difficult to dedicate the time required to the role as she supports her sons blossoming football careers, Archie joined SPFL William Hill Championship side Queens Park and Harry has joined Gretna 2008.

We’d like to place on record our grateful thanks to Henry, Craig, Ian and Debbie for their support, we wish them and their families all the very best for the future.

As the club moves forward, we’re actively inviting applicants for the vacant board positions. If this is of interest to any of our shareholders then we would welcome any conversations through any of our current board members or through email to the club secretary Susan Bryson at secretary@annanathleticfc.com

The club treasurer role is one that we’re very keen to fill. We would welcome any conversations with anyone with a financial background who feels they could help and bring their expertise to the club.
