Commercial Manager

Annan Athletic Football Club are currently inviting applications for the position of Commercial Manager.

The successful applicant will provide new business income for a thriving and ambitious football club, as well as achieving continued support for its current excellent sponsor base.

Remuneration for the position is on a self-employed commission only basis, with no maximum earnings which will be paid in line with the rewards achieved for the football club.

Duties and Responsibilities

The key responsibilities are attracting investment in the club by way of sponsorship and other general fund raising activities, including ground and website advertising, programme advertisements, team line advertisements, match-day sponsorship, shirt lottery sponsorship, golf open day together with increasing the membership of the club lottery.

The successful applicant will also boost income with current advertisers as well as securing new business.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required

• Experience of working within the football, sports, or the sales industry would be beneficial.
• Experience in sales and cold calling would be an advantage.
• Evidence of a wide range of business contacts – locally, and regionally. This would be an advantage but not a necessity.
