Community Funding Vote Success

The club are delighted to announce that the Black and Gold foundation were successful in the Councils 10’000 Votes in Action Programme. Through the votes of the 12-25 year old age group the foundation were able to secure £3000 towards their Community Football programme.

Through this grant the foundation now aim to offer free football to youth players who may have found themselves disadvantaged due to worries out-with their control and financial strains brought on unexpectedly by the Coronavirus pandemic.

It’s hoped that this will encourage parents/carers to bring existing and new participants without the financial worry that can be associated with this. Through this the children can then reap all of the benefits that exercise, having fun, learning a skill and being part of a team brings to children’s lives.
