Contract Extension – Paul Smith

Annan Athletic is delighted to announce that midfielder Paul Smith has signed a new contract keeping him at Galabank until summer 2028.

Smith, 23, joined the club from Ayr United in July 2024, becoming one of Wullie Gibson’s first signings after taking over as manager.

The talented midfielder has shown some impressive performances in the Black & Gold shirt and everyone at Annan is delighted to see Paul commit to the club for another two and a half years!

“I’ve loved my time at Annan for the year and half I’ve already been here” commented Smith.

“It’s a great club to be involved with and the group of lads are brilliant so I was delighted to sign a new deal when the manager asked me last week.”

Manager Wullie Gibson added, “I’m delighted that Paul has extended his contract by a further 2 years. He is a very talented player with a great work ethic and positive attitude. The staff and boys love him and I’m sure he’ll continue to be a fans favourite.”
