Double Scoop in Monthly Awards

Annan Athletic had double cause to
celebrate as both Peter Murphy and
Dominic Docherty picked up their
respective award wins for the month of
December.
Manager Peter was awarded the Glens
Vodka Manager of the Month award as
he and his coaching team overseen a
month of results where they won all four
matches including a thumping 5-1 win
over league leaders Kelty Hearts. The
four wins in December have formed part
of a run that has seen his side go eight
games undefeated and qualify for the
fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
Midfielder Dominic Docherty lifted the
cinch League Two Player of the Month
award as his sparkling form continued
and he was instrumental to the winning
run as he grabbed his first ever career
hat-trick in a 4-1 home win over Elgin
City.
Speaking about the award Dominic said:
“I’m absolutely delighted, it was a great
month for not only me but the team. It
was a difficult month, but we knew that
going into it and to get four wins was
absolutely brilliant. Going into the next
half of the season it’s vital that we keep
up those type of performances.
“It’s a great achievement for myself with
this being my first award but hopefully
there’s many more to come.
