Match Report

Jim Chapman fielded a young Annan team tonight with one eye on this weekend’s trip to play Hearts in the cup. However the young lads were determined to put on a good show.

Threave took the lead in the 17th minute when Andrew Donnelly’s shot from the corner marginally crossed the line.

Annan equalised minutes later when Zak Caldwell latched onto a through ball and managed to lift the ball over the out coming keeper.

Threave restored their lead in the 64th minute through Luke Hammond before Caldwell smashed an unstoppable strike to make it two each.

However Rovers had the last say in the 85th minute when Hammond hit his second of the game to make it 3 for the away side.
