Annan Athletic at last got the victory in the Development League that they have been threatening when they defeated Clyde 4-1 at Broadwood on Tuesday evening.
Clyde got off to the perfect start in the 2nd minute when Fabio Capiano tapped in at the near post after Connor McLauchlan had cut open the defence with a low cross . Annan equalised in the 17th minute when Peter Weatherson latched on to a corner swung in from the right.
Rabine Omar put Annan ahead in the 22nd minute when he collected a deflection and slipped the ball past the advancing keeper.
Clyde fell further behind in the 57th minute when Dan Wood converted with a fierce shot after a patient build up down the right.
The best goal of the night fell to recent signing Callum Cook when he connected with a Rabine Omar cross finishing with a 15 yard shot which cannoned off the post.
Annans next match in the Development League is on Tuesday 3rdh February evening when Dumbarton visit Galabank kick off 7-30pm.
