Annan got their league cup campaign off to a winning start with a narrow 3-2 victory over Queens at Palmerston on Tuesday evening. Queens went ahead in the 5th minute with a superb strike from Connor Graham but Annan equalised in the 15th minute when a trailist finished clinically from 15 yards, the trialist then put Annan ahead in the 25th minute with a fine strike from 20 yards. 5 minutes into the second half Connor Graham squared the match for Queens only for the goal to be cancelled out minutes later when Annan’s trialist back heeled into the net to complete a fine hat trick.
