Fleming Steps Into Coaching Role

Manager Wullie Gibson has added another member to his coaching staff with Greg Fleming taking up the vacant role of Goalkeeper Coach at Galabank.

The Manager made the announcement at the Q&A on Thursday evening and added that Fleming will also be stepping down as the clubs number 1.

After racking up 550 professional appearances, Greg has decided that now is the right time to hand over the goalkeeper shirt.

“I’ve made the decision that I have had my time as number 1” Greg told the media team.

“I’ve really enjoyed it but with the finish to last season I just felt at my age I didn’t think I could finish any better. I could have kept going but then things might not have gone to plan and if I made a few mistakes folk would start to say it’s cause I am too old.”

“Now I’m looking forward to helping on the coaching side of things and find a new Goalkeeper that I can hopefully help to go on and do the best for Annan.”
