Gilfillan Returns To Galabank

Annan Athletic have re-signed midfielder Bryan Gilfillan after the experienced midfielder negotiated his release from Ladbrokes League One side Airdrieonians. He made an instant impact on the Galabankies as he scored a consolation goal as a trialsit in our 4-2 defeat away to Clyde.

The midfielder has already enjoyed a spell at Galabank when the team were under the stewardship of then manager Harry Cairney. During that time Bryan made 84 appearances scoring 17 goals and was an influential member of the team that narrowly missed out on promotion via the play-offs in 2010/2011.

Since leaving Galabank the midfielder had a short spell at Clyde before joining Peterhead in what was to be a very successful spell for the midfielder. During this spell the highland based side won Ladbrokes League Two where they pipped Annan to the title and then went onto establish themselves in League One.
