James ‘Jumbo’ Anderson

The club are sorry to report that former player James Anderson, commonly known as Jumbo died peacefully on Thursday at the age of 75.

Jumbo played for the club during the late sixties and seventies and also played for Gretna and Kello Rovers FC. He was followed by two more generations of Anderson’s as his sons James, Colin, Kevin and grandson Stephen all went on to wear the ‘Black and Gold’.

The club passes on its heartfelt respects and wishes to the family.

The funeral arrangements are as follows :

Eaglesfield church on Tuesday 16th December 2014 at 11-00am.
