Job Opportunity: Club Physio

Following on from our successful promotion to cinch League One, Annan Athletic FC are looking for a highly driven individual with a passion for football to work as a part-time club physio.

This is an exciting and excellent opportuning for any individual to gain experience in the field of professional sport physiotherapy where you will be responsible for providing high quality first aid and sports physiotherapy service to our First Team whilst working within the Football Management team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To assess and treat any injuries that occur to the First Team.

To provide match day and training physiotherapy for all First Team matches, both home and away

Communicate effectively with the management team regarding player injuries

Ensure equipment is properly maintained and well stocked, as required

Any other relevant duties as determined by the First Team Manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

The applicant should be working as a qualified physiotherapist and be chartered to the relevant governing body.

The role is suited to someone both newly qualified or an experienced individual wishing to gain experience in a professional sport environment

Strong communication skills

Ability to work well in a team

Someone who works calm under pressure Passion for working in a sports related environment

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

The club physiotherapist shall be a member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Ability to provide exercise prescription

Understanding of injury-based guidelines

Post subject to enhanced Protected Vulnerable Group (PVG) Check

Be available on all cup and league games as per the club’s match schedule

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Prior experience in Semi/Professional Football

Available at all training sessions, as agreed with the First Team Manager

RENUMERATION

Pay dependent on experience

LOCATION

The role will be based at Annan Athletics’ Galabank Stadium Club which has its own private physio room available. The successful candidate would be expected to attend training on Tuesday and Thursdays between the hours of 6.30-9.30 and on match days to travel with the 1st Team on their scheduled matches in the SPFL League 1. Some travel further afield may be required for cup matches
