LOAN SIGNING: Sam Campbell

We are delighted to announce the loan signing of Sam Campbell from Motherwell FC.

18 year old defender Campbell, a product of the Motherwell academy, has already attracted a lot of attention in his football career having been heavily linked with English clubs Brighton, Leeds and Liverpool!

A knee injury denied the young centre back most of last season but he’s back fit and ready to go!

“We are delighted to get Sam in the door after a lot of hard work and competition to sign the player.” Manager Peter Murphy said. “Sam will bring a desire and aggression to help us succeed as he has returned from an injury last season ready to kick his career in gear and show why there was interest from English clubs previously. Potential is there to be fulfilled and Sam has the drive to fully reach this, which can only be a good thing for Annan Athletic.”
