With Annan playing Elgin the same evening it was very much a younger Development squad who entertained Clyde at Galabank on Tuesday evening. The visitors centre forward Jack Currie stole the evening with a well taken hat trick.

It was however some dreadful defending that opened the door for Clyde. The opening goal in the 35th minute was a disaster for keeper Craig Murray who kicked the ball against Currie who did not know much about it and the ball trundled over the goal line. The second goal in the 39th minute invited Connor McLauchlane to fire home from 4 yards after the Annan defence failed to clear the ball on 3 occasions.
The second half saw Annan very much trying to contain the Clyde. Currie scored his second goal in the 60th minute when he connected with a low cross driven across the face of the goal. Fabio Capuano scored number 4 in the 79th minute. Jack Currie completed his hat trick in the 87th minute heading powerfully into the net from the corner.

Annans next match in the Development League is on Monday evening when they play Dumbarton at Murray Park kick off 8-00pm.
