Annan are still seeking that victory in the Development League when the Annan young guns were despatched by Morton at Galabank on Tuesday evening.

Annan started promisingly and went ahead in the 8th minute when Scott Davidson finished with a clinical shot. Their lead lasted until the 36th minute when Annan lost a bizarre goal with McNeills shot hitting the post and the ball cannoning of the back of keeper Craig Murray and into the net from 2 yards. Morton took the lead in the 44th minute when Thomas Orr was at hand to guide the ball into the net.
David McNeil got his name on the score sheet in the 57th minute clipping the ball over the top of Annan keeper Murray. Rabine Omar finished off a good move in the 69th minute when his shot cannoned off the inside of the post and past keeper Jamie McGowan.
Thomas Orr completed the scoring in the 78th minute from the penalty spot as McAnespie brought down the Morton striker who dusted himself down to send Murray the wrong way.
Annan complete their first half development league fixtures on Monday evening when they play Queen of the South at Palmerston kick off 7-15pm.
