Crusaders went behind early on when Andrew Mitchell scored an own goal after only 4 minutes and they went further behins on 19 minutes when Steven Swinglehurst scored from close range after a goal mouth scramble.  Crusaders fought back and David Cushley pulled a goal back on 31 minutes when he shot home from 18 yards and Davis Cushley pulled the sides level on 39 minutes when he delightfully put the ball by Blair Currie into the net and leave the game 2-2 at half time. The second half was peppered with substitutions and it was hard to get going for either team but Marcio Soares did well when he came on and won Crusaders a penalty when he up ended in the box by the goal keeper. Matthew Snoddy stepped up to take the kick but his shot was well saved by the goal keeper to make up for his mistake. Sean O’Neill made a great save to keep Crusaders in it and Paul Heatley was unlucky not to get on the end of a Soares cross. The game ended 2-2 and both sides will take positives from it.
