Annan are still looking for their first victory after narrowly losing out to Dumbarton on Tuesday evening at Murray Park.

It was a game of 2 halves with Dumbarton dominating the first half and romping to a 3 goal lead at half time. Jordan Kirkpatrick opened the scoring on the 20th minute with a low shot across keeper Craig Murray. Two minutes later and Murray was picking the ball out of the net after Donald McCallum scored with a 12 yard shot. Annans first half misery was completed in the 34th minute when Jordan Kirkpatrick cooly lobbed the ball over keeper Murray from 15 yards .
Annan were unlucky not to pull a goal back in the 52nd minute when Kieran Brannon’s effort struck the cross bar. McStay should have done better in the 75th minute when he lobbed over with the keeper stranded in no mans land.
Annan’s persistence eventually paid off a minute later when Zac Caldwell connected at the near post with a Jimmy Johnstone cross. Wadge came close in the 80th minute before Ryan McStay pulled another goal back in the 82nd minute again from a Johnstone cross to set up a final flurry .
Annan’s next match in the Development League is on Tuesday evening 25th November when they entertain Morton at Galabank 7-30pm kick off.
