Maxwell Signs First Professional Deal

The club are delighted to announce that youngster Charlie Maxwell has signed his first professional deal with the club.

The 18 year old made his first team breakthrough last season when he made his competitive debut against Raith Rovers in the League Cup group section and went on to make a further nine appearances. Prior to this Charlie and his development has been aided by successful loan spells at Lochmaben FC and Glenafton AFC.

Speaking on the signing, manager Wullie Gibson commented: “Charlie is a player I’ve known for a few years now as he spent time at my football academy.
He is hard working with a good attitude and has the potential to go on and do well.

He had some important game time last year and that’ll give him the taste to want more this year. I’m delighted to give him his first professional contract and it also shows the other youngsters at the club there are rewards if you work and train hard at the club.”
