McNiff Agrees Galabank Contract

Annan Athletic are delighted to announce our first piece of activity in the winter’s transfer window. Following the release from his contract at Dumbarton yesterday Martin McNiff has agreed terms and has signed a contract to the end of this season. This is third time lucky for the Galabankies as we have already had Martin on loan twice at the club. His latest loan spell came to end last Saturday after our two – nil victory over Albion Rovers. Twenty-two year old Martin has already racked up twenty appearances for the club this season, he now formally reunites with his former Dumbarton Manager Jim Chapman.

Jim commented “We are delighted to get Martin on board and registered as an Annan player, he is an integral part of our plans, hopefully the pressure is now removed as his future has more certainty, Martin offers us a number of options, we firmly believe there is no reason his career cannot kick on from here.”

The club are actively involved in a number of other negotiations, announcements will be made on this website as soon as further deals are closed out.
