Mitchell returns

The club is delighted to welcome back goalkeeper Alex Mitchell back to Galabank!

Alex needs no introduction to the Galabankies, having made over 150 appearances for the Black and Golds, he was recently voted for by the fans as goalkeeper of the last decade!

Commenting on his return, Alex said “l’m happy to be back at the club, even more so having being voted in team of the decade.
I’m looking forward to getting my head down, training hard and fighting to get the number one jersey back. Hopefully I can help the team go one step further than last year.”

Manager Peter Murphy commented, “Delighted to get Alex back with us after brief intermission where he left the club. We now have two very good keepers pushing each other for that number 1 position. Alex brings a wealth of experience at this level and was instrumental in our success in the last two seasons.”

The club would also like to commend Chris Smith who came in at a difficult time and was excellent throughout, we wish him every success in the future.
