Murphy appoints assistant

The club are delighted to welcome Darren Barr to Galabank as the new assistant manager to Peter Murphy.

Darren brings a wealth of experience to the coaching staff, having enjoyed a successful playing career, making over 100 appearances with Falkirk as well as having spells with Hearts and Kilmarnock.

More recently Darren joined Stirling Albion and took over as caretaker manager before the appointment of Kevin Rutkiewicz.

Peter Murphy commented “We are absolutely delighted to have finalised the deal to get Darren into the club. We have gained one of the best young coaches in the country with the drive and passion to improve our team and help us move forward. It has taken a little bit of time and patience to get Darren in but I am confident he is the right person and character the club needs to progress. The team will no doubt benefit from Darren’s vast experience as a player and now coach. We would also like to thank Kevin and Stirling Albion for allowing Darren the opportunity to progress his career.”
