Murphy signs new 2 year deal

The club is delighted to to announce that manager Peter Murphy has agreed a new deal, keeping him at Galabank for the next two years.

Murphy is about to enter his fifth season in charge of the Black & Golds after joining in 2017, and is looking forward to getting some sort of normality back at Galabank next season.

“After what has been an unprecedented and eventful couple of seasons with what we have just come through as a club, I’m delighted to commit to Annan athletic with the signs that things may be getting back to normal.” Peter commented.

“We are looking forward to getting fans back into the club and building a squad that is capable of challenging at the top end of the division.

All credit needs to go to the chairman, board and volunteers that have got us through this difficult period.”

Chaiman Philip Jones also commented,

“We are delighted that Peter has agreed to stay with Annan for the next 2 years. Managing the team over last 18 months has been extremely difficult due to the constraints of the pandemic, limitations the club introduced to protect ourselves and the inability to train or play regularly. Throughout this period Peter worked hard and dealt with everything as it emerged to ensure we survived. We can now look forward to getting back to business and pushing for promotion in the coming season. Please come and support Peter and the team!”
