NEW SIGNING: Dan Carmichael

The club is delighted to announce the new signing of 34 year old midfielder Dan Carmichael.

Dan is a well known footballer in the area and started his career at local neighbours Queen of the South. After making over 150 appearances for Queens he made the move from Palmerston to Easter Road and signed for Hibernian in 2015 but a year later made the move back to Palmerston.
Dan has played with a number of clubs since then but has spent the last year as captain of another local club Dalbeattie Star.

Manager Wullie Gibson commented on his first new signing of the January window,

“Obviously I know Dan very well and I still feel he’s capable of playing at this level. His quality has never been in doubt but over the last few years he’s had injuries which have probably seen him drop down the levels. He’s been in training with us from the start of December and now getting closer to the fitness levels that’s required. He’s looked really sharp and lively in training and if he keeps that up hopefully he’ll make a good impact on the team.
I am working on another few things and hopefully be able to add another 2 possibly 3 in this window.”
