NEW SIGNING – Daniel Martins
The club is pleased to announce the signing of 25-year-old defender Daniel Martins.

Adding strength and depth to the back line, the 6ft 3” centre-back was born in Lagos, Nigeria but he holds both Scottish and Nigerian citizenship.
Daniel began his footballing journey in the youth system at Greenock Morton, before moving on to spells with Livingston and Alloa.
After a stint in Poland with Watra Bialka in 2021, he returned to Scotland to gain Lowland League experience with Gretna, Cowdenbeath, and Camelon.
He joined Caledonian Braves in July 2023 and was an ever-present for the club, featuring in every single match across all competitions throughout the 2023/24 season. Martins was later described by the Braves as a “stalwart of our backline”.
Daniel commented on his move to Galabank, “Firstly I’m happy to be here. The lads have been great and everyone has been very welcoming. It’s a new challenge for me and one which I’m excited to take on. My aim is always to win as many games as possible as well as keeping clean sheets. And hopefully I’ll score a few goals along the way.
Manager Wullie Gibson added “ Daniel has played a lot of games consistently at lowland league level and we’re hoping he can make the step up. Early signs are very encouraging as he’s done well within our environment, showed up well in pre season games and has real belief he can perform at this level. With Keith, Scott and Aaron he has real competition but also 3 experienced players who he can learn from.”
