NEW SIGNING: Harrison Wood

The club is delighted to announce the signing of Harrison Wood, joining us on loan from Blackburn Rovers until January

A regular in the Blackburn U21’s, Harrison is an attacker that can either play wide or through the middle. He has recently penned a new deal at Ewood Park after a strong end to last season, scoring back to back goals against Everton and Arsenal in the Premier League 2.

After signing his new contract in July, Wood joined up with the Rovers first team for part of their pre season tour in Austria.

Manager Wullie Gibson commented “I’m delighted to add Harrison to the squad. I’ve been speaking to Blackburn and his agent for over a month now but he was away with the first team pre season. He’s highly thought of down there and this is a good opportunity for him to get game time and experience and an opportunity for us to build a relationship with Blackburn Rovers for players in the future.”

The talented teenager has been at Blackburn Rovers since the age of six, and is now looking to push for first team football with both clubs thinking this is a move that will help the 19 year olds development, as well as strengthen Wullie Gibson’s squad at Galabank.
