New Signing- Russell Currie

Annan Athletic are delighted to announce another addition to the squad and welcome Russell Currie to Galabank for the upcoming season!

18 year old Currie started playing football with the Black and Golds at the age of 7, going through the youth system at Galabank before moving to Queen of the South where he spent the last 6 years and finished top goal scorer every year.

The striker is also proud to have represented Dumfries & Galloway at every age group.

After signing a one year deal at Galabank Russell commented, “I feel ecstatic to join the club that started me off as a footballer. To play along side the likes of Peter Watson who I grew up watching as a kid every Saturday is an honour and I can’t wait for the season to start and hopefully add what I can to the impressive team”
