Purdue heads for Australia

The club can announce that Jack Purdue has been released from the club after landing his dream move to Australia!

Jack is in his second season at the club and made an immediate impact at Galabank, scoring on his debut against Hamilton in the League Cup win last season.

After suffering a horrific injury in an early league game against Stranraer at Galabank, Jack spent most of last season on the side lines but did return to Annan as he looked to get back playing again.

Purdue has made 8 appearances this season but due to great competition for places, has struggled to cement a place in the starting line up.

Speaking about the move he said, ” The club has been massive for me after everything that happened here. They stood by me through the toughest year of my life so it was a hard decision to make leaving. It will always hold a special place with me but the opportunity was too great to pass down.
