Sam Wallace Memorial Match

The club will be hosting a Memorial Match in tribute to our former Manager and Chairman, Sam Wallace. This will be held at Galabank on Sunday 31st March 2024, 1pm Kick Off.

After discussion with Sam’s family we will be hosting Bill Sim’s Queen of the South side in an over 50’s challenge match on Easter Sunday. Former player John ‘Charlie’ Wilson has organised the match as tribute to club stalwart Sam, this will include a host of former Annan Athletic and Queen of the South favourites.

The day will be a family led affair with both live and children’s entertainment during the course of the day. All monies raised on the day will be donated to the charities of the families choice.

It would be great to see as many of Sammy’s friends and former players / club associates in attendance, any former players who would like to participate in the match should contact John Wilson on 07796 175973.
