SPFL Trust Festive Friends

In recent days, Annan Athletic Football Club have been preparing Christmas Hampers for delivery in the local area over the next few days. They are taking part in an initiative established by the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) Trust which saw the club provide Christmas Lunches last year, but due to COVID-19, the club has been asked to provide a number of hampers to various households.

The club is delighted at the local response, and as well as providing a hamper with Christmas treats, some households will also be given a hat, scarf and small blanket gifted by Dumfries & Galloway Fire and Rescue Service supported by SP Energy Networks. All households will also receive a fire safety leaflet.
Support has also been received from Annandale Distillery and the club’s directors have expressed their appreciation, especially at a time when so many businesses are facing the pressure of the pandemic.
