Squad Strengthens With Loan Signings

Annan Athletic is delighted to announce the loan signings of Timam Scott and Darryl Carrick from Queen’s Park FC, adding more depth to Wullie Gibson’s squad. (Subject to clearance)

Timam Scott, 20, made his first-team debut last season against Annan Athletic in The SPFT Trust Trophy. The midfielder for the Spiders registered his first start against Hamilton Academical in The SPFL Championship in April 2025.

Darryl’s early years in football were spent with local grassroots team Cowie United in Stirlingshire.

Aged ten he moved on and joined Milton boys’ club well into his teenage years when he moved to Airdrie.

The defender’s move to Queen’s Park came shortly after Airdrie switched to Gartcairn and he was picked up by the Spiders in January 2023.

Since then he’s helped the B team land the Reserve League title twice and attracted interest in his abilities, making his first-team debut at the start of season 2025-26.

Manager Willie Gibson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Timam and Darryl to the club. They’re both young, exciting players with good potential and will make a positive impact on the team.”

The club looks forward to seeing Timam and Darryl in action, helping Annan Athletic achieve success this season.
