Weatherson returns!

Annan Athletic are delighted to announce the return of Peter Weatherson!

The announcement  sparks great news for fans at Galabank as the veteran striker goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s trip to Elgin after the required paperwork was completed late this afternoon.

Peter left the club last summer along with Ryan McStay as they were both offered managing roles at Shettleston Juniors. After a great start to their managerial career, both Peter and Ryan have now left the club and Jim Chapman wasted no time in bringing Weatherson back.

The supporters player of the year for 2014/15 is the clubs record goalscorer since they entered the SPFL, with more than 50 goals.

Spoonsy wrote on his Facebook page,

” I’ve decided to go and join some old friends down at Annan Athletic for the remainder of the season. Really looking forward to joining such a young and talented squad.”
