Year Of Young People 2018-Galabank Success

Everyone at Annan Athletic FC were delighted to host and be involved in the successful launch at Galabank on Friday night of Year Of Young People 2018.

The event at Galabank was a tremendous success and culminated in an illuminating firework display that had the crowd enthralled.

Club chairman Philip Jones said: “We would like to convey our thank to the organisers for being given the opportunity to host such a prestigious event.  I’d like to thank the participants and all those who attended for making the launch such a success. This is the first time that the Galabank all weather facility has been used for such an event and we thank Dumfries and Galloway Council for the opportunity to host it, hopefully this is the first of many to be held at the Galabank facility.”

“As a club we have a large impact on the young people of our community with our community football programme. I hope the Year of Young People gives them the platform to showcase their talents and that they can use the opportunities provided over the coming the year to express themselves and show the true value of young people to our society.”
